Description of Works

Vulcan Ellis were appointed by a private client to construct a Georgian Manor House within the grounds of the Balcombe Estate in West Sussex for a private client.

Garden House was constructed utilising traditional methods, including strip foundations, concrete floors and external cavity walls creating 4000 sq ft of internal floor area. Internally, the build was centred around the spectacular views over the local countryside, combining Accoya timber sash windows, large floor to ceilings heights and a large bespoke roof lantern over the feature staircase maximising the natural light into the property.

The house has been designed and personalised to our clients expectations and to a very high specification including handmade bespoke joinery throughout, internal fireplaces and many formal rooms containing complex feature cornices, wall panelling and picture rails. The layout, again completely personalised to our client formed a traditional dining room, an upstairs His & Hers master en-suites as well as upstairs dressing rooms.

Externally the garden has been fully landscaped to provide secluded seating areas that benefit from the exceptional surroundings, brick faced retaining walls to match the new house as well as a new access driveway finished in a slate chipping.
